Join Us to Lament the Housing Crisis

Sunday, 27 August, 2:00pm at Raleigh Reserve, Awapuni. For wet weather updates, go to the ‘Events’ section of our Facebook page.

Housing

Palmerston North Anglicans will hold a ‘Service of Lament’ on empty Housing New Zealand land. This is an opportunity to mark our sorrow at our society’s failure to ensure all New Zealanders have a home. It is one of five lament services taking place across the region.

Lament is a centuries-old practice to acknowledge grief as one step towards healing and restoration. Our short service will include stories, songs and reflection. All welcome. Join us!

Diocesan Leadership Training Day, 08 October 2016

Hi everyone,

Here is an update regarding the Leadership day in two weeks’ time. Please would you forward this to all your networks encouraging them to come.

The day is shaping up well, with wonderful workshops on our core competencies in the morning, and a great variety of topics, many repeated in the afternoon to explore God transforming us.

You can get more information on the following link, we will be updating this with timetables etc. over the next week: Diocesan Leadership Training Day, 08 October 2016.

Reminder – this leadership day is for teams – so a great opportunity for all the different ministry teams from our parishes to come and receive input. Encourage people to travel together (fill a car), this not only helps reduce our carbon output, its builds team – bonding on the way there, and sharing what we’ve learnt on the way home.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Archdeacon Gendy Thomson.
